Pioneer Campers will stay in our Pioneer Camp Village, located on a hill just behind the Activity Center. Their home for the week will be our unique covered wagon cabins, giving campers a true pioneer-style camping experience while still having access to modern amenities. Showers and restrooms are just a short walk down the hill at the Activity Center.

Each covered wagon houses up to 8 people, including the cabin counselor and additional staff. With a maximum of just 7 campers per wagon, Pioneer Camp offers the best camper-to-counselor ratio of any program at Skyview Ranch—ensuring plenty of personal attention, strong connections, and a safe, fun environment. 

**Special Note: Please note that the covered wagon cabins do not have power or air conditioning. If the forecast looks warm, we recommend sending a small battery-operated fan to help your camper stay comfortable at night.
All meals are served in our air-conditioned Activity Center, giving campers a cool and comfortable place to eat—except for the special outdoor dinner and breakfast during their one-night campout adventure.

CAMPOUT:
As part of the Pioneer Camp experience, campers will spend one night camping outdoors under the stars! They’ll cook their own dinner and breakfast over the fire, adding to the adventure and fun of the week.

Please make sure your child brings a sleeping bag (a limited number are available if needed). We provide tarps for ground sleeping and hammocks for those who want to try something different, ensuring every camper is safe and comfortable while enjoying this unique overnight experience.
