Below you can find almost everything you need to know before bringing your camper to SVR Summer Camp. We hope this list of information helps you in your preparation!
Here's a list of what we suggest not to forget for your camper's stay at SVR!
- Warm bedding
- Rain gear
- Modest swimsuit
- Toiletry items
- Water bottle
- Pair of jeans
- Close-toed shoes
- Money for Ranch Store
In order to preserve a safe, “getaway” atmosphere, we ask
that you do not bring media devices, fireworks, drugs,
alcohol, tobacco, magazines, or weapons to Skyview Ranch.
Skyview Ranch is a Christian camp, and we strive to be Christ-honoring in our dress. Clothing that is a frame for your face is pleasing to God, while clothing that is a frame for your body is displeasing to God. Short and skirts must be of modest length (at least mid-thigh), and shirts of modest cuts and styles (please no spaghetti straps, halter tops, or tops that show midriff). Please refrain from extremely tight and/or short clothing. Swimwear should be boxer style trunks for guys, one-piece suits for girls (tankinis and swimshirts allowed). Skyview Ranch Counselors reserve the right to request immodest clothing to be changed.
Please mark your child’s property with their name.
Lost and found articles must be claimed within two
weeks of departure. Unclaimed items will be taken
care of at the discretion of Skyview Ranch.
If you have any questions concerning missing items,
please contact our office by calling (330) 674-7511.

We make every effort to fulfill all cabin
buddy requests. Cabin buddy requests
should be no more than three campers
per group to provide the best camp
experience while promoting new
friendships. Cabin buddies must be
requested at least one week prior to registration day
to make registration as efficient as
We provide a Skyview Ranch Bank Account
for the weeks of junior-aged programs
(Junior Camp and Pioneer Camp are
required, other programs are optional).
Your camper should bring their
money with them to registration and
open their account at that time. One
designated time each day, they will
be able to withdraw money for that
day’s use. This cuts down on money
being lost or misplaced.
We have an infirmary staffed by a
Health Officer 24 hours a day. The
infirmary stocks first-aid supplies
and over-the-counter medications. If
your child needs to bring other
medication, please complete the
necessary information on the
Medical Form. Bring all medication
with you to registration.
Medications must be in their original
containers, or the Health Officer will
not be permitted to administer them
to your child.
If you must pick up your child during the week for an appointment or withdraw them before Saturday morning, an early dismissal form is required. Please bring the early dismissal form with you to Monday registration stating the date and time your child is to be picked up and returned (if applicable). For your convenience, a form can be provided upon request by the office staff.
We would like each camper to say good-bye to his/her counselor before departing. The counselor must meet you or the person picking up your child. Each counselor will have Sign Out form (which is to be previously completed by the parent/guardian) to be signed by the person picking up your child at the time of pick up.
Parent/guardian who is to pick up any camper must have their name prerecorded on the Sign Out form in association with that camper and present a photo ID with their name to their camper's counselor before that camper can be officially released into their care.
Skyview Ranch requires a $100 dollar non-refundable deposit for each Summer Camp registration. In the event of a cancellation made prior to any one camper's expected stay, that deposit is 100% transferable to any camper exclusively for the same summer as the original registration. This deposit may be transferred towards the same camper's registration for a different week of camp during the same summer if desired.
Due to the volume of regular camp business, we ask that you do not call your camper except in the case of an emergency. Be assured that SVR will contact you in the event of illness, extreme homesickness, or an accident involving your camper.
If you desire email your camper through our website, please visit our Email Your Camper page and fill out the online form. Once submitted, our office staff will deliver the message to your camper at the following lunch (around noon) or dinner time (around 5PM). You can let your camper know that you are thinking of them throughout the week!
