Skyview could not operate as a ministry without the help of hundreds of awesome volunteers. We are looking for individuals who truly have a heart to serve, no matter the cost.

To volunteer at Skyview, you must be at least 14 years old. Some volunteers stay for the whole summer, while others come for just a week or two weeks at a time.

To volunteer, you can apply online, or download and fill out the official 2012 Employment Application (or download the Employment Application PDF). Summer Staff, Summer Volunteers, Skyview Ranch Apprentices and individuals interested in working Full Time at Skyview all use the same application. Program Assistants

Skyview's program directors lead each of the camp age groups throughout the week, from chapel sessions to giant camp games and Ranch songs. Program Assistants work with program directors to keep everything working well. They will help facilitate games like "Steal the Bacon" and "Capture the Flag". They will help start camp fires, assist with MCing at the beginning of chapel, and work as a runner for the program directors.

Wranglers

One of the best parts about Skyview Ranch is its horses, all 32 of them. Wrangler volunteers will work closely with the Skyview wrangling staff, brushing and cleaning the horses, keeping the stable clean, and helping with trail rides. If your knowledge about horses and horseback riding goes beyond the occasional ride on the quarter machine at your local grocery store, then this might be a good job for you. Experience taking care of horses is a plus.

Waterfront

With activities like lake time, the Blob, the Super Slide, the Water Trampoline, the Iceberg and Paddle Boating, we at Skyview place a lot of value on water safety. Our life guard team is in charge of keeping all these fun activities safe. To be a Life Guard volunteer, you need to be officially certified prior to staff training, have great observation skills and be able to stay focused on safety for long periods of time.

Ground Crew "Grithogs"

Grit-what? That's a common reaction to this name for the guys who keep Skyview running on all eight cylinders. Whether it's mowing the lawns, baling hay, cleaning bathrooms or loading luggage, these guys are responsible for the smooth and efficient operation of Skyview Ranch. If you've ever had the urge to drive a tractor or enjoy the smell of diesel fuel, this volunteer position might be for you.

Maintenance Crew

The Ranch operates with help from equipment like lawnmowers, weedeaters, chainsaws, trucks and tractors. The maintenance crew helps keep all this machinery and other technical aspects of the Ranch up and running all summer long. The maintenace crew will work closely with the Maintenance Director as they get to know Skyview's every nook and cranny in their pursuit of keeping everything working to the glory of God.

Fencing Crew

With over 30 horses and 275 acres for those horses to run on, there are literally miles of fencing to maintain. We need fencing professionals to help us repair broken fences and build new ones. We'd love your assistance on this ongoing summer project.

Creek Crew

One of the most beautiful and understated parts of Skyview's property are its many creeks. Two main creek systems wind their way across the Skyview Ranch property. They provide a picturesque environment during horse trails and creek walks, and a place to study animal life upclose during our famous summer nature expeditions. During storms, trees and brush fall into the creeks, creating a mess. We need a crew of water and nature lovers to help keep these clean all summer. If you enjoy creek walks, this is for you!

Lumberjacks

We need tough young men and women to help us clear fallen logs and brush from the property. The lumberjack crew will work to keep all of the wood piles stacked for camper bonfires, and will keep brush from piling up on horse trails. Lumberjacks will spend lots of time outside, working in the many forests on Skyview Ranch's property. If you are great with a chain saw or log splitter, we'd love to have you join us this summer!

Kitchen Staff

If you are a fan of food, then you'd be a fan of the kitchen staff. They keep the food coming, the dishes clean and the fountain machine flowing at all times to make sure campers stay properly fed, hydrated and happy all camp week long. This job is for those who take great joy in making people smile through the ministry of food and fellowship. A great smile is a plus.

Cleaning Crew

There's a familiar saying at Skyview. We like to keep everything mom-clean and mom-safe. The Cleaning Crew is responsible for making sure bathrooms are staying clean and floors are staying dust free. The cleaning crew members should have a passion for creating clean environments.

Worship Team

Chapel is one of the most important parts of the whole week at Skyview, and we want to glorify God with the very best of our music and media. The worship team works closely with the worship leader, playing instruments, singing or running the sound board during chapel sessions. If you have a passion for worship, this is the place for you.

Media Supervisor

It takes a lot of organization and imagination to put together a DVD and a package of great photos every week at Skyview. This is where a high-octane Media Supervisor comes in. The Media Supervisor not only gets to have fun snapping photos and shooting video of campers, but also is in charge of producing the DVD's that campers take home and making sure chapel sessions run smoothly. If you love people, and love media, and see a career down the road in media production as a definite possibility, then this is the spot for you.

Media Team

Memories can be tricky things. When you leave camp, you can't stop thinking and talking about it. Within a few weeks though, you start to forget names and faces. This is where the Media Team comes to the rescue. Aside from running audio and video for chapel sessions, the Media Team is also in charge of putting together high quality DVD's and online photo albumbs for campers. Media Staff are on the go at all times, taking pictures and recording video. Enjoy producing great photos and video? Love learning? You may be a good fit for this job.

Office Team

Office volunteers are so important to the efficient running of the camp. Office volunteers will assist the Office Staff during morning registration, will give campers their letters and emails from home, and assist with Ranch mailings. This job is great for someone who pays great attention to detail.

Executive Assistant

Do you have plans to run Skyview Ranch someday? This may be the job for you! The executive assistant will work directly with the executive director of Skyview. You'll see what running a camp is like during the summer as you assist him with projects, chapel sessions, and more.
