Jeremy Hales, Executive Director
"My
vision for the ministry at Skyview Ranch is for our team to serve
Christ and others by creating innovative life experiences in an
irresistible environment where relationships are the catalyst for
life-long Christian growth." - Jeremy Hales
Joining the Skyview team in August of 2006, Jeremy is excited
about
what the future holds for Skyview. Jeremy gained his undergraduate
degree from Appalachian Bible College where he majored in
Bible/Theology and Camp Administration. He also has a Masters Degree
from Baptist Bible Seminary in Organizational Leadership. Between
Jeremy and his wife Sara, they have nearly thirty years of experience
in Christian Camping. He also owns and operates Christian Camp
Consulting, which Jeremy describes as "a thriving organization that I
will continue to invest in as we stay on the "cutting edge" at Skyview
Ranch." Jeremy enjoys "holding hands on a swing with my wife, catching
frogs in the creek with Chelsea and watching the face of awe on Jason
when he sees something in God's creation for the first time."
Jeremy and Sara have three children-Chelsea, Jason and Alyssa, also invaluable members of the Skyview Ranch team as they bring their own intuitive wisdom about bubbles, cookies and coloring.
Dave Sellers, Administrative Director

Dave and Kristi Sellers, and their kids Cardin, Reece and Casteel arrived at Skyview in May of 2008, excited about the ministry of Skyview Ranch. Dave comes to us from Lake Ann Camp near Traverse City, Michigan. Prior to getting involved in Lake Ann's LIFT program, Dave worked as an Account Executive and Designer for a company that designed and manufactured trade show exhibits. Dave recalls, "I was drawn to Chrisian camping because I was impacted greatly by Christian camping as a camper [...] and later as I worked at a camp during my college years." As Administrative Director, Dave helps to keep the main office at Skyview running efficiently and effectively.
Dave's wife Kristi has also been a huge blessing at the Ranch as she has brought her nursing experience to the campus during the summer to keep campers healthy and happy. When Dave and Kristi aren't helping around the Ranch, they love spending time as a family camping, hiking, skiing and generally being outdoors.
Jason Miller, Ranch Foreman
Following in the large shoes and legacy of his mentor, Matt Oswald, Jason Miller is very much a part of the Skyview legacy. Bringing both the wisdom endowed by Matt and his own experiences out in the wilds of Montana, Jason has both the experience and creativity to revolutionize how camp maintenance is done. Jason has worked at Skyview several summers as a grithog before joining the full time staff this year to serve as Ranch Foreman. He manages both the horse program and general maintenance, working hard to make sure everything looks, smells and works at its best potential.
Bobby is thrilled to be working at Skyview Ranch year round and is excited to see the influence that God makes in people's lives. Bobby is a recent graduate from Cedarville University in May of 2008 where he majored in Communication Arts. Cedarville left an impression on Bobbi as it helped to cultivate an insatiable desire to love God and love people. Cedarville was also important as he met his future wife, Nikki Carroll, there.
Nikki, a 2007 grad of Cedarville, is excited about the ministry of Skyview. Nikki is no stranger to Skyview as she attended camp at the age of nine and rededicated her life to Christ late one night in Giggle Inn. That decision and later summers at Skyview prepared her heart for a life of ministry, and more specifically, children's ministry in a camp setting. She is excited to use her Christian Education experience and her mission experiences at Skyview.
Josh and Kimmy joined the Skyview Ranch team at the beginning of the Summer of 2007 just after getting married. Coming all the way from Texas, they weren't sure what to expect, but have fallen in love with the ministry of the Ranch. Kimmy, of Moody Bible Institute, lifeguards and works to keep the Ranch office running smoothly, accenting the administrative environment with her cheerful attitude and bright smile. Josh, from Pensacola Christian College, is working with Jason Miller in the barn, learning the ways of the horse as he endeavors to create a fun, safe riding environment for campers and riders who come to the Ranch. Josh is heavily involved in programming fun events for summer campers and guest groups and is looking forward to leading the new Apprentices for 2008-2009. Josh and Kimmy have been joined by Nathan, their newborn son who came into the world this past March.
Ryan Simmons, Media Specialist
Ryan comes to us from Cedarville University, where he graduated with a BA in English. After graduation, Ryan joined Skyview in the summer of 2006 to be a counselor. It's a time that he calls, "Tiring, stressing--but one of the best growing experiences of my life." In his job search after the summer ended, Ryan volunteered at Skyview and found a niche working with the web, print publications and video productions. Though it wasn't his major, he found that he enjoyed using what were once hobbies to serve the camp. And now, anything you read on the Skyview Website or see in a flyer or see in a Skyview video was probably produced by Ryan.
Michele, Ryan's wife, is a long time Skyview summer staffer herself and originally introduced Ryan to Skyview Ranch. |
